Corona, catch me if you can! is our month-long initiative contributing towards your health and wellbeing. Run away from Corona with us!
ESN understands that moving abroad is a big turnaround, which includes changing our everyday habits. Regular practices usually happen when we have a stable routine, and it is kind of hard to stick to the plan in a new environment.
As per usual, ESN is here to support you. We have come up with a challenge full of adventure to motivate and inspire you to develop yourself in a healthy way! Our partner Clanbeat is providing us with a secure space to connect on this journey. Their platform is built from the ground up to allow you to interact with other students. Struggling alone and motivating yourself is now a thing of the past.
We challenge you to do one physical exercise every day for the month of May. Just “one” !? Yes indeed, much like an advent calendar, you get an exercise to complete each day. Consistency is key, and we hope to motivate you to do even more with us. Participants that complete the challenge will receive a special ESN prize for their commitment.
To keep things balanced and interesting for you, we have scheduled rest days. That means no physical exercise but rather an online meditation class or workshop on improving your habit building.
FIELD HOCKEY DAY - 1st of May.
Working to better yourself is a struggle. We believe that you guys deserve to have some fun along the way. Our partner DHC Drienerlo has agreed to open their doors and provide participants in our challenge the opportunity to have a free game of hockey in their awesome field. The hockey trainers will be there to guide everyone, from beginner to experienced player .
UPDATE: We are starting off our challenge game of hockey on the 1st of May. Additional information will be provided to participants.

DHC Drienerlo is Enschede's student hockeyclub. We now have more than 250 members, mainly consisting of students from the University of Twente and Saxion University of Applied Sciences. We like to play hockey seriously, as well as enjoy ourselves. We offer you our authentic clubhouse. This old salt derrick, once donated to the club by AKZO Nobel, is the most recognizable clubhouse at the sports complex of the University of Twente. The Toren, which was even named the most special clubhouse in the Netherlands by hockey.nl in 2016, is mainly used for fun evenings. After training, members often hang around for a drink and on the weekends DHC has the "Toren Sundays".Additionally to the fact that hockey matches are played at the Toren, Toren Sundays mean more than just playing hockey. A real Toren Sunday is characterized by its conviviality. Teams, from both DHC and visiting clubs, often hang around after their match to watch other matches, have a beer and have dinner together. For the ultimate experience of a Toren Sunday, we invite you to attend one (as soon as this is possible again).
