Hello there! I’m Talha, the President of ESN Twente! I am originally from Pakistan, but I grew up in Dubai. I have a strong passion for ESN and its network, and am more than happy to be leading the ESN section in my city! My main job as President is to supervise and manage the ESN board, along with staying in contact with other ESN sections in other cities & the National Board of ESN (the network is huge!). Besides ESN, I am also a second-year Mechanical Engineering student. In my non-existent free time ( 😞 ), I like playing the guitar, watching anime, and reading manga. I also really love travelling, and I usually travel to a new country at least once a month. A lot of the travelling I do is because of my work in ESN, since there are many international ESN events happening all the time. I hope to see you all in the upcoming events of ESN!
Hoi! My name is Rienke, 21 years old, and as one of the Dutchies on the board I’m this years Ms. Secretary. During an amazing semester abroad, I discovered ESN and had the time of my life meeting students from all over the world, so I decided to stay involved in this international community. Besides ESN, I’m doing a Master’s in Biomedical Engineering, specializing in biorobotics. When time allows, I pick up the guitar and love exploring the outdoors – hiking, biking, running, climbing and many more! Within ESN I handle administrational tasks to keep everything organized. Besides, I’m in touch with people from UT, Saxion, external companies, and student associations. I keep an eye on the general mailbox, so if you have any questions, I’ll be happy to answer them! Siemaneczko, I’m Nell and I’m 22 years old, originally from Poland with a Brabantse parent. Currently in my second year of studying International Business at Saxion University in Enschede. I have the privilege of serving as the Treasurer and Coordinator of General Active Members at ESN Twente. In my free time I like to explore new countries, read books, listen to lots (lots, more than 120.000 minutes listened to last year 🥲) of music. Hey people! Manuel here, I am the Activity Coordinator of ESN Twente. I am from Colombia 🇨🇴 and I am currently doing my MSc in Civil Engineering at UT. At ESN, I am in charge of ensuring that the people in our community have fun! From the big events like parties and trips, to the smaller and cozier events like a board game night – If it is on the calendar this guy is behind it. On a bigger picture, my job is to enhance diversity, inclusion, and integration of people in our local section. From there, I always aim to include varied activities to create a space where you 🫵 feel like you belong. Can’t wait to see you at any of our events!! Hello! My name is Dave, and I’m in my second year as the Business Relationship Manager at ESN Twente. I handle negotiations with our local partners for sponsorships, ESNcard deals, and collaborative events, while also being responsible for maintaining good relationships with all our partners. I’m currently in the final stretch of my master’s in Industrial Design Engineering and hope to graduate soon. Beyond academics, I manage part of the Dutch Negotiation Network and work as an development engineer. In my free time, I go to the gym and enjoy traveling whenever I can. Hey everyone! My name is Ruben, and I am the PR Coordinator of ESN Twente. I’m a 22 year old Dutch-y doing my Master’s in Industrial Design Engineering. I was born and raised in Tanzania and Uganda up until I started my uni life at the University of Twente. I have a passion for all things creative – photography, graphic design, video editing, product design, – but also enjoy being critical and analytical. Along with my partner in crime, Bilge, I am in charge of promoting all things ESN from creating posters, taking pictures during events, managing the ESN whatsapp groups and running the Merch & Promotion committee. Hello there, people! I’m Bilge, the Media Coordinator of ESN Twente! 🎥✨ I’m from Turkey 🇹🇷, and after completing my Bachelor’s degree in Toulouse, France, I’m now doing my Master’s in Human Factors and Engineering Psychology. My passion for media and promotion began with composing my songs, which led me to explore content creation (designing posts, making videos, and crafting funny reels). Over time, I was interested in social media algorithms and how they shape engagement. At ESN Twente, I work alongside our fantastic PR Coordinator to promote ESN and our events. I am in charge of Instagram, TikTok, and communication communities like WhatsApp groups. I hope to catch you at one of our upcoming events! Let’s make it unforgettable!
