What is ESN?
Erasmus Student Network (ESN) is a non-profit international student organization. Our mission is to represent international students, thus provide opportunities for cultural understanding and self-development under the principle of Students Helping Students.
How can I contact ESN?
You can come by our office during our office hours (Monday till Friday - 12:45-13:30) , write us an email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or contact us via Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/esn.twente).
Will there be any activities or trips for international students?
Yes! Your ESN board will organize several parties, activities, one-day trips and also longer trips for all international students. To be up to date join our Facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/esn.twente/)

What is the Kick-In?
The Kick-In is an introduction for all new students to get to know each other during a lot of activities. It's the perfect opportunity to meet the university, the campus and Enschede and to discover all aspects of the student life. You will get to know your fellow students and sport and cultural associations. During the Summer Kick-In there will be also a Faculty program where you will receive detailed information about your studies.

When does the Kick-In take place?
The Bachelor Kick-In 2016 will be held from Wednesday the 24th of August till Thursday the 1st of September 2016!
The (Pre-)Master and Exchange students Kick-In will be held from Monday the 29th of August till Thursday the 1st of September 2016!
What is the pick-up service?
As an international student you can apply for help with your journey from Schiphol Airport to Enschede
At which dates will the pick-up service be offered?
Bachelor students: Monday August 22 and Tuesday August 23
(Pre-)Master and exchange students: Saturday August 27 and Sunday August 28
How can I register for the pick-up service?
During the online registration for the Kick-in you can register for the pick-up service.

Living in Enschede
How can I open a dutch bank account? How does the public transportation in Enschede look like?

Where can I buy food in Enschede?
In Enschede you can find several supermarkets. On the campus you can find the supermarket Coop. In the city you can find different supermarkets like Albert Heijn and Jumbo, and the low budget supermarkets Aldi and Lidl.
Should I get a bike in Enschede?
Yes, definitely! There is public transportation (bus) in Enschede, but during the evening the time table is limited. To get everywhere at any time the bike is the best transportation. Furthermore riding the bike (in Dutch: "fietsen" ) is part of the dutch culture. You shouldn't miss this.
How can I make friends?
During your study you will make friends for sure. Don't worry! Furthermore the Kick-In will be the perefect opportunity to make friends. You will meet a lot of people. To get in touch with more international students you should join our Facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/esn.twente/). Next to that you will meet others international students during our ESN activites and ESN trips. So make sure to join them :-)! To get in touch with Dutch students you can join a student association or a sport club. You will receive detailed information about this during the Kick-In.
