Discover Europe 2010

Every year ESN Poland organizes a photo contest called DISCOVER EUROPE.  The previous 6 editions have all have been very successful with over 2000 photos running for the 1st place prize! This year the competition will be, for the first time, open to students from all ESN sections!

There are three unique categories to compete in:
- Citizen of Europe (various images of Europeans)
- My Europe, my home (picturesque buildings, towns or landscapes in Europe)
- Europe: surprise me! (amusing or intriguing events or happenings in Europe)

Apart from the contests’ categories there is also a special one – created with the contest's partner KPMG:
- Discover KPMG – Four sides of KPMG (the interpretation of this category is left to the participants)

You need to registrate to compete and are allowed to submit up to 3 photos. On their website you can already see some submitted works. The photos will be rated on the Internet first. After this, a jury consisting of international photographers will pass their judgement. The final stage will determine the winners: ajury made up of academic representatives, students and photographers will gather and select the most impressive pieces of work.

The grand Final Gala will take place in May 2010 in Warsaw and it will be combined with a formal banquet and a vernissage of the winning photos. The laureates will be awarded great prizes (Samsung digital cameras), and if you submit the winning photo, you will receive tickets to this event too :)
